Hanersun and SED Deepen Partnership to Target New Opportunities in Africa

Hanersun and Solar Energy Distributor Pty Ltd (SED), a top-tier solar distributor in South Africa, officially signed a 40MW strategic distribution agreement for high-efficiency N-type modules. Under the agreement, Hanersun will serve as SED’s core supplier of N-type solar modules across the African market. This partnership reflects the strong alignment between both sides and will further accelerate Hanersun’s expansion in key African markets.

As a leading local PV distributor, SED brings years of extensive experience in Africa’s renewable energy sector. The company has built a robust distribution network and localized service infrastructure covering South Africa and its neighboring countries. With a track record of stable collaborations with global energy brands, SED has established a solid industry foundation and a stellar local reputation.

“SED’s deep market expertise and extensive network make them an invaluable partner for our regional growth,” said Sun Jingyu, Vice President of Hanersun. “By leveraging our leading technology and high-quality products, Hanersun will use South Africa as a strategic hub to further deepen our presence across the continent.”

SED commented: “Hanersun’s product innovation delivers higher returns for our local customers, giving us great confidence in this long-term strategic partnership. We look forward to working together to drive energy independence across South Africa and the wider region.”

Africa is rapidly emerging as one of the global solar industry’s most promising markets. According to the Global Solar Council (GSC), the continent added 4.5GW of new solar capacity in 2025—a 54% year-over-year increase—with cumulative capacity projected to surpass 33GW by 2029. This golden era of large-scale development presents tremendous growth opportunities for Hanersun.

Looking ahead, Hanersun will continue to optimize its regional channels and service systems. By working alongside premium partners like SED, the company remains committed to delivering reliable, cutting-edge clean energy solutions to empower Africa’s green transition and contribute to global carbon neutrality goals.
