Suntech Enters a New Chapter Backed by Integrated Manufacturing and Global Brand Legacy

Hongyuan Green Energy Co Ltd has taken control of a new entity, Suntech Power Co., Ltd.(New Suntech) through subsidiary HY Solar Co Ltd. New Suntech holds the patents and brands formerly belonging to Wuxi Suntech, which remains insolvent. New Suntech and Hongyuan jointly operate a 16GW/year module factory at 1159 Gangcheng Avenue, Jiangyin. New Suntech is considered a new entity from Wuxi Suntech as of May 20, 2026.

The Suntech brand has recently earned the prestigious EUPD TOP BRAND Portugal certification, highlighting its recognized quality and reliability in the renewable energy sector. Suntech has also begun using the brand for global contract signings and product shipments.

By combining established brand equity with a fully integrated industrial and manufacturing platform, Suntech provides partners with predictable, high-quality solutions. The company continues to deliver innovative photovoltaic technologies and integrated solar-plus-storage solutions for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale applications worldwide.
